FRNKOW is a luxury fashion brand for men and was founded in 2020 by the siblings Nadja and Frank Lin.

FRNKOW offers minimalistic menswear and underwear combining classic designs with a sensual approach.

With soft and flowing silhouettes and fabrics, FRNKOW deals critically with the idea of masculinity without urging to reinvent it. FRNKOW wants to encourage men to be themselves and show their sensuality and sensitivity with their wardrobe.

FRNKOW is a non-seasonal brand and produces either in a very limited quantity or Made to Order. The product range includes high quality handsewn menswear, underwear, home- and loungewear.

FRNKOW Founders

FRNKOW was founded in 2020 by Nadja Lin and Frank Lin, two siblings from Stuttgart, Germany, with a Taiwanese father and a German mother. After graduating in Stuttgart, female founder Nadja Lin studied Economics as well as Textile and Clothing Management in Vienna and Albstadt and started working at an international fashion company in southern Germany.

Frank Lin studied Fashion Design in Munich, winning the “Best Graduate Award 2018” selected by an independent international jury and the MODA PORTUGAL fashion award in the category “Best German Collection”. His graduation collection has been featured in Vogue Germany, Süddeutsche Zeitung i.a. Frank Lin had been working in fashion industry for over 10 years when he founded FRNKOW with his sister.

Founded in 2020

Founded only weeks before the global pandemic and all its economic effects, the young label’s start was very different to what the two founders had planned. However, FRNKOW launched its first FRNKOW by FRANK LIN collection as well as the first FRNKOW Essentials in November 2020 followed by various features in prestigious print and online magazines and national German Television.

FRNKOW has dropped more collections in 2021, 2022 and 2023 expecting the next collection to be released in spring 2024. The FRNKOW Essentials assortment has been continuously expanded and now consists of underwear, home- and loungewear.

The tailoring-line FRNKOW by Frank Lin is the heart of FRNKOW and epitomizes the creativity and vision of creative director and founder Frank Lin with first class quality and sophisticated menswear. All collections are designed, developed and manufactured by Frank Lin and his tailoring team in their design studio in Stuttgart. Every single piece of the collection goes through a long and elaborated development process until it fulfills the self-given demands on design, fit, comfort and workmanship.

FRNKOW Essentials

FRNKOW Essentials are the Home- and Loungewear line and include underwear, tanktops, home shorts, T-shirts and sweater. All Essentials are made of outstanding and long-living fabrics. They have very good fit and comfort as well as fine details that can often only be seen on second sight. FRNKOW Essentials are meant to be worn every day beyond season and have a long durability. To ensure fair production and a faithful partnership, FRNKOW is working together with prestigious producers from Germany and the EU.

Hand-Made in Germany | Made in EU | Sustainability

For FRNKOW, sustainability isn’t just a catchword but naturally implanted in the brand values. To counteract the short-living nature of fashion and overproduction in the fashion industry, FRNKOW by Frank Lin follows the ideas of a Zero Waste Production and manufactures in smallest quantities and Made to Order in the FRNKOW studio in Germany. FRNKOW by Frank Lin only uses high quality Dead Stock Fabrics from Italian and French fashion brands and gives Left Over Fabrics a second life.

All Essentials are exclusively produced by long-established partners within the European Union to reduce transportation routes and thus minimize CO2 emissions.

The Underwear Essentials, for instance, are woven from a GOTs certified organic stretch-cotton knitted by a family-run textile manufacturer in Germany with more than 100 years of experience in underwear production. Its GOTs certified waistband is made in Germany and is of Oeko-Tex Standard 100. That’s why FRNKOW can ensure German accuracy, fair working conditions and best materials and workmanship for its underwear line.
